Scsi

First off, I'm a new owner of a 24' iMac! I've used Windows all the time but since I got my new job last July the department I'm supporting has quite a few Macs around so thought it was time to get one and be better acquainted with them. I'm not sure how to go about having Windows installed though (Parallels, VMWare Fusion or Boot Camp) but that's not a question I have right now.

ADAPTEC 29320-BASED ULTRA320 SCSI DRIVER DOWNLOAD - If a hardware device isn't functioning properly, or if a program or game that you're installing states that it requires newer drivers, a driver update will be in order. Updating your drivers with Driver Alert can help your computer in.

1) I'm using Mail.app and coming from Outlook it's a bit of an adjustment. I have been looking for a way to add a 'previous/next' button(s) and also a 'move to' button for the toolbar. Any suggestions? 2) For the Mac Pro is the RAID card only for SAS drives? I'm looking to replace an aging G4 Xserve w/ a 1.3TB XRAID w/ a Mac Pro and there's no mention about the RAID card working with the SATA drives (although its required for the SAS drives).

And, because getting their license suspended does not directly compel the debtor to pay you, this could be one of those actions adaptecc seem better theoretically, than the results it brings. Then in the Adaptdc utility Addaptec created a mirror of the primary drive and then rebooted. Ultra320 SCSI Driver v7.00.00.12 for Windows 7 & Server 2008R2. Description: Ultra320 32-bit SCSI drivers v7.00.00.12 for the Adaptec Ultra320 SCSI cards without HostRAID enabled.

I'm planning on ordering 1 SATA hard drive and then either ordering 3 more or just order 4 (from somewhere other than Apple) for more uniformity. When I have all 4 bays filled I would like to have them all in a RAID configuration (either RAID 5 or RAID 0+1). I hadn't thought of using the preview option in Mail.app. That'll work. Thanks all Now I have another question - in looking for replacing the aging Xserve that my department has, I'm looking into getting a Mac Pro.

Only thing is, the MP will need to have a Ultra320 SCSI card for the tape autoloader for the backups. I've been looking around for a Ultra320 SCSI card that's PCIe and supports OS X, and I've found an Adaptec card (the ) but it doesn't specifically say that OS X supports it. I would think that OS X supports it, but I don't want to go to my manager with the assumption that this would work and then later find out that it doesn't. Does anyone know if the 29320LPE would work with OS X, or point me to where to look? I'm close to spending around $5k for the replacement and this is the linchpin to the whole thing.

Thanks again. Originally posted by Invictus: I hadn't thought of using the preview option in Mail.app. That'll work. Based on the list at Adaptec I would say no Edit to add, The new Xserve does allow one slot to be configured as PCI-X if that would help the search for a supported U320 SCSI card. The Adaptec site does list some SCSI cards as having drivers supplied by Apple but I did not see a PCIe U320 listed. The Adaptec site does list some SCSI cards as having drivers supplied by Apple but I did not see a PCIe U320 listed. I really don't want to get a new Xserve - I'm leaning more towards the Mac Pro. Crap - I'd hate to get a whole new autoloader tape drive. I know they have them available with a FireWire connection - I wonder if I can get a 'kit' of some sort to change from a U320 connection to FW.

(Just for reference - here's the to the autoloader in question.) I guess I'll have to keep looking.
