I want to be able to share my office 365 for Mac Outlook Calendar. When I go into the organise tab the following buttons are greyed out: Open Shared Calendar Calendar Permissions Folder Properties Sync I have seen this answer It seems to be saying that the cause of the Greyout is that sharing sub-folder calendars is not possible. I am not entirely sure what a sub-folder calendar is. I dont have any sub folder calendars.

I have just the one calendar that I use. Of the three screen shots provided in the answer the first (the parent folder) looks like what I have on my computer - except that the buttons are greyed out as described above. The second screen shot is not what I see on my computer (i.e.

I don't have any sub-folders). The similarity is that the sharing buttons as described above is greyed out. Help - this is all proving to be much too difficult.Post moved by the moderator to the appropriate forum category. One month ago - Claud Wang MSFT Support said 'Thanks for reporting the issue. I will do some consult and reply to you once I get some updates. Thanks, Claud' Since then no reply. How long does it take to consult and reply?

I have cut and paste my original question that MSFT Support has ignored. ' want to be able to share my office 365 for Mac Outlook Calendar. Hi leaf-farms, i understand this was a poor experience and i am so sorry for you were impacted. Let’s move on to troubleshoot this issue. I have done a test on my side and reproduced the same scenario.

However, i can share the calendar if i only click “calendar” button. Please refer to the screenshot below. You can take a shot on your side and check the result. If the scenario above doesn’t match yours, i’d like to collect the following information for further investigation.

a screenshot as i provided above. To upload screenshots, select use rich formatting, and then click insert /edit. i wonder whether the shared calendar was shared from a shared mailbox or a normal mailbox. Please make sure you have been granted the right permission.

does the issue occur to a specific shared calendar? I suggest you create a new shared mailbox, grant the full access permission to you and check the result. Furthermore, could you provide some detailed steps, so i can do a test and check if i can reproduce the issue?

Best regards, neo. Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately it did not solve the problem (I still cannot see the calendars of colleagues in our business and the Exchange network). I do not think that Office 2016 for Mac has the full functionality for calendars like the Windows version. The iOS versions also lack this critical feature, which makes Outlook unusable for us in a Mac or iOS device.

There IS a solution for Apple users who need full functionality of calendars and it is MS OWA. It works with full calendar function (can schedule meetings easily- like the full Windows version of Outlook where calendars of entire workforce can be seen). Hopefully Microsoft is working on this essential upgrade on next version of Outlook 2016 for Mac and iOS Outlook app. This missing feature is very important as we can only use a Windows PC or OWA to schedule a meeting right now. Has any of this been fixed yet? G hi leaf-farms, i understand this was a poor experience and i am so sorry for you were impacted.

Greetings, I currently have a 2003 SBS running Exchange SP1 and also running things such as domain, DNS, DHCP etc. I have 2 domain on the network (other domain is run by an old NT box) I have a mixed environment with end users working with Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010. Weighted max sat solver download for mac free. I created a new user named I logged into this address using office 2010 and created a calendar. Once I did that I shared it with around 20 other users on my network. Then I went into the sharing properties and gave everyone full access to the calendar. Once this I heard back from all users on Outlook 2003 that they could not open the calendar. I directed them to go to File-Open other folder- then the calender info.

It worked great. Now for the 2010 users. I was able to add myself without the slightest issue. My coworker beside me also running 2010 could not open the calendar. The 'Open' button is greyed out.The invite email looks fine otherwise. I then checked with our other 3 Outlook 2010 users and they all had the same issue/ they receive the calendar fine, but cannot open it. First thing I did was check that with issues were not in 'offline' mode.

They were all online. Next I checked was their permissions again, and even removed all the 2010 users from the list, resent the calendar share request, and then gave the full permissions. Still not able to open calendar in the email sent to them. Then I tried File-options-mail-sensitivity and all were set to normal (same as mine which works) Then I went to accounts, selected the exchange email account, went to 'more settings' and then 'advanced' and tried using cached mode(download shared folders checked), and no cached mode, but still no dice. There is just no way to click 'Open calendar'.

Calendar Permissions Is Grayed Out

The office 2010 users were on 2003 before I have recently installed office 2010, did all updates, then added their exchange accounts. Is there something missing or a setting in Active directory I need to look for? What is strange is that my own machine running 2010 was also recently upgraded and I did not have the slighest issue with the calendar (the other 4 running 2010 are still stuck) Any ideas or advise would be greatly appreciated/ Thanks, Jeff.
